The Community Safety Services Team is located within Communities Department. They have the responsibility of providing a multi-agency approach to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour across Bexley and coordinating the Community Safety Strategy and delivery plan. Community Safety brings together the relevant statutory Partners of the borough who have a responsibility for this work which includes London Borough of Bexley, Metropolitan Police, National Probation Service, London Fire Brigade and Health along with voluntary organisations who come together to develop plans and strategies to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.
We currently have a vacancy for a fixed term post; Serious Violence Support Officer until 31st March 2026 which is responsible for supporting the administrative tasks for implementing the Serious Violence Duty. The post will sit within Community Safety Services and will be managed by the Modern Slavery and Violence Against Women and Girls Co-ordinator.
This role will include:
- Updating the Serious Violence Action Plan which delivers against the local Serious Violence Strategy.
- Organise and minute taking at relevant multi agency meetings.
- Supporting the National Referral Mechanism Co-ordinator with administrative tasks.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy community safety team. You will need to have experience of taking accurate minutes in a multi agency setting and will need to be organized and have good time management skills.
