As Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for the Council’s emergency preparedness, response, recovery and business continuity arrangements. You will ensure the Council meets its responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, the Resilience Standards for London and other relevant legislation and guidance. You will work across all Council services, with partner organisations and local communities to strengthen organisational resilience, drive continuous improvement and ensure the Council is prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and disruptive events.

This is a permanent, full time position.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced resilience professional with a relevant professional qualification, degree or substantial equivalent experience in emergency planning, resilience or business continuity. You will have experience of providing specialist advice within a large and complex organisation, developing policies and procedures, and leading work across services and partner organisations. A strong communicator, you will be skilled at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and delivering training, while bringing a proactive and innovative approach to improving services and strengthening organisational resilience.
