The Quality Assurance Team sits within Safeguarding Adults, in Adult Social Care. The team’s purpose is to ensure services within the borough locality and those commissioned by London Borough of Bexley within and outside of the borough are safe, effective, and well-lead in meeting the identified needs of Service Users and that they achieve the high standards of quality in accordance with quality benchmarking.
This will involve collaborating with providers and other boroughs and professional agencies to achieve and maintain the best Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating possible and direct engagement with friends, family, representatives and especially people with lived experiences. The team also collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, such as Commissioners, Brokers, Safeguarding and Public Health.
The post holder will be required to support and assist with the monitoring programme of Quality Assurance Team, supporting with carrying out both announced and unannounced, in and out of borough visits, at times out of core working hours.
The post holder will be required to upload and maintain the QA’s internal Complaints, Incidents, and issue logs spreadsheet, ensuring all data and information is logged, thereon passed to the relevant officers or departments.
The post holder will be required to support and assist with contract monitoring and quality assurance monitoring reports which will include both findings and recommendations and ensure that the necessary follow up action is taken.
The post holder will be required to gather ECM (Electronic Call Monitoring) data from providers to conduct monitoring of service delivery.
The post holder will be required to review data, identify concerns, which could be of a safeguarding nature, and support with responding to concerns raised and support providers and professional colleagues.
The post holder will support with ensuring that commissioned services are meeting CQC regulations and quality standards and to support with take remedial actions where failures occur.
The post holder will be responsible for collecting KPI (Key Performance Indicators) data from Providers in readiness to hold and assist with Contract Monitoring meetings.
Ensuring Provider Contact details are up to date and correct.
Arrange and support with Provider Forum meetings, arranging speakers and presenters.

- A relevant experience in social or health care profession or relevant Local Authority experience.
- Experience of reviewing and monitoring service activity.
- Experience of working with partner agencies.
- Experience of reviewing and analysing data, reviewing trends, and providing reports.
- Experience of developing new approach to achieve service improvements.
- Experience of using ICT applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Project Management Systems), video conferencing software (i.e., Zoom, Google, MS Teams).
