Based within the resettlement team, you will work across the Housing Service to pro-actively assess applicants for moving on from homeless accommodation into private sector accommodation and social housing accommodation.
You will assist applicants with benefit claims and assist with tenancy sustainment activity whilst awaiting a permanent home and ensure household circumstances are kept up to date.
The successful applicant will be based between the Civic Offices and their home address, but spend the majority of their time, mobile between addresses in and around the borough. As such applicants will need to hold a clean driving licence and have continued access to a vehicle.

Candidate Profile
The role will require lone working and therefore we are looking for confident applicants with excellent communication skills that can represent the service and team they work in, but work independently.
A busy role requires an individual that is extremely well organised and has good ICT skills.
You will have experience in working in a fast pace front line housing service and have a sound knowledge of up to date Housing Legislation and Benefit Regulations.
